Today I have to discuss something, the issue is how much water should we drink per day. You may have heard that drinking so and so glasses of water per day is a must!

Some medical practitioners say 5 glasses, some say 8. However, the answer to these issues isn’t that simple.

Well, the eight glasses rule is a good thought, but it isn’t based on firm, well-researched facts.

Human body weight is made up of 60% water. Every system in our body needs water to work. Our water intake recommendation is based upon our age, sex, medical conditions, etc.

How much water we should drink:-

For Adults

Men should get arounf 10 glasses and women it should be 9 glasses.

For Children

As the children grow, the intake of water should also increase. We can say that 5 cups are enough for 4-8 years old kids, for 8-11 years old kids it should be 6 cups, and for above it should be 8 cups.

For Pregnant Woman

The water intake for a pregnant woman should be 10 Cups per day.

For Adults

It should be 13 cups for adult men and women.

Moreover, the water intake increases and decreases with the climate, exercise routine, and due to physical condition. It means that the quantity varies with respect to the physical condition and temperature.

Water is vital for every process that the human body performs. When you drink water, we fill our body and without enough water, our body and its organs can’t function efficiently.

The water intake at regular intervals keeps your skin looking good. When we drink water properly it keeps us hydrated and the body could work well.

  • green peppers
  • berries
  • cauliflower
  • radishes
  • celery

However, do remember if your physical condition suggests you increase or decrease the water consumption, do consult your doctor.
