Chicken Shawarma is a middle-Eastern recipe, but I use it to provide an Indian blend also. Here in India, we use all-purpose flour tortilla and use minced chicken or pork for the stuffing. The marinade is very easy to prepare, and we do it in a bowl or a Ziplock bag.
The marination must take place for 8 hours at least, but if possible do it overnight. You just need a few spices and infuse the chicken with such flavors. Then cook it on a stove or a BBQ grill until its charred.
Chicken Shawarma is an incredible cuisine and wherever you can find some alteration you can cook it as per your desire. There’s no hard and fast rule that you have to follow.

Process To Make Chicken Shawarma: –
To begin with, combine the ingredients for marination in a bowl and mix well. After that add the chicken and coat it well. Now if you’re using Ziplock bag close the bag with the chicken and massage the bag to disperse the rub properly.
If possible, try to marinate overnight. If not, then 8 hours are enough.
After that heat grill or BBQ on medium heat. Now don’t add oil as thighs carry fat if you like add some butter.
Cook the chicken side by side until it’s nicely charred.
Then take it out from the grill and slice the chicken and place onto flatbreads, salad, and yogurt. Also, to make a wrap (which I prefer) get a tortilla and smear with yogurt sauce with some tomatoes and lettuce. Roll up Chicken Shawarma & enjoy it!
